A brief guide about mountaineering in México. Here are some classic climbing routes for 2 of the most important mountains (volcanoes) in the country: Citlaltépetl (Pico de Orizaba) and Iztaccíhuatl.

Disclaimer:

This guide doesn't provide any information about climbing routes in Popocatépetl. It's access has been closed since 1994 due to volcanic activity. Don't risk yourself and others, several people had been killed trying to climb Popocatépetl while in activity.
