"Personally, I would rather climb in the high mountains. I have always abhorred the remendous heat, the dirt-filled cracks, the ant-covered foul-smelling trees and bushes which cover the cliffs, the filth and noise of Camp 4 (the climbers' campground), and worst of all, the multitudes of tourists which abound during the weekends and summer months."

Highway To Hell

Odi and I had a great time last night at AC/DC‘s concert. The show really kicked ass and those guys really rock. The setlist was as follows:

AC/DC Setlist Foro Sol, Mexico City, Mexico 2009, Black Ice

ac/dc – highway to hell

living easy, living free
season ticket on a one-way ride
asking nothing, leave me be
taking everything in my stride
don’t need reason, don’t need rhyme
ain’t nothing i would rather do
going down, party time
my friends are gonna be there too

i’m on the highway to hell

no stop signs, speed limit
nobody’s gonna slow me down
like a wheel, gonna spin it
nobody’s gonna mess me round
hey satan, payed my dues
playing in a rocking band
hey momma, look at me
i’m on my way to the promised land

i’m on the highway to hell
(don’t stop me)

and i’m going down, all the way down
i’m on the highway to hell…

Burning legs

Sergio, Octavio and I ran the 16 km of Skyrace Malinche on Sunday morning. It’s another race from the Solo Para Salvajes running circuit.

Both of them ran a good race. I on the other hand, managed to increase 16 minutes to my record from last year, finishing the 16 km roundtrip in 3:18:15.

I felt well for all of the course climb, arriving to the volcano’s summit at the same time as my tracked run from last year. The descent, however, became really painful. My quads felt like they were going to explode so I had to slow down my pace considerably. The consequences of my lack of proper downhill training… Nevertheless, we had a great time running this challenging race.

On our way back to Mexico City, we made a short stop at Rio Frío to eat some delicious mushroom soup and cecina adobada

The race pictures can be seen here.
