From allergy to flu

So the allergy just got worse today. In fact, I think I’ve got a mild flu; my nose has been constipated and dripping all day long.

Now I’ll need to take a couple of rest days. Hopefully it goes away soon…

Salt/sugar-less

Ran yesterday morning and tonight as well; got some allergy in the way (inhaled to much trail dirt). Skipped breakfast (because of huge dinner the previous night) and had some chicken salad for lunch today…

I just came back home with a giant pale face and trembling as a little kid out of a pool; ‘dehydration’ and ‘glycogen depletion’ are the terms as far as I can recall…

During my last runs I’ve been drinking pure water (I ran out of Gatorade powder a couple of weeks ago and haven’t bought more), thus not replacing electrolytes properly; “somehow” I also became sugarless while running laps at Sope tonight (no wonder after taking a look at my “organized” eating schedule…).

I’ve taken a hot shower and had some decent dinner; still feeling a little dizzy though. Must get some sleep now.

Still

Oh well, I took another weekend off from my usual activities. How bad can that be?

2008, here we go!

So… 2007 is gone now. I hope you have had such an excellent year just as I did. I’m very thankful for all the things I was able to do during the year: I traveled a lot, met a lot of interesting people, climbed and ran as much as possible, but above all, I enjoyed being alive and with my loved ones.

2008 looks very exciting; with new people to meet, projects to plan, goals to achieve and unexpected things to resolve along the way. My best wishes to all of you for 2008!
