A natural disaster

Last night, I went alone to see Anathema at Circo Volador. The concert began at 7:30 p.m. and there were 2 opening bands: Xandria (which I didn’t like) and Stream of Passion (really good band, I must listen more from them).

Anathema‘s act began at around 11:00 p.m. and their setlist (in approximate order) was: Shroud of False, Fragile Dreams, Balance, Closer, Lost Control, Deep, Forgotten Hopes, Destiny is Dead, Empty, A Natural Disaster, Everything, Inner Silence, One Last Goodbye, Hope, Eternity (Part I), Judgement, Panic, Temporary Peace, Flying, Angelica, A Dying Wish, Sleepless and Comfortably Numb.

The concert was superb. Despite some technical problems with the auditorium’s sound set-up, the band elegantly surpassed them by doing some improvisations (a proof of how great musicians they are). All of us got really deep into their music for 2 hours. Listening to such good music was definitely a memorable experience. I really hope to see them soon again in México.

i wanted to live forever
the same as you will too
i wanted to live forever
and everybody knew…
